This guide is designed to provide parents and other legal guardians with information on safety in our games.

WHERE ARE TOPIA BROS GAMES AVAILABLE?

Our games are available on various mobile and PC platforms, although there are some regional restrictions. In order to play them, you must download the game application from your respective store or access the game via your internet browser.

WHAT ARE THE AGE LIMITS FOR TOPIA BROS GAMES AND THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE?

Our games are designed for everyone and do not contain any content that might be regarded as mature. However, as stated in our Terms of Use, players must be at least 16 years old to access and/or use our website or games. If a player is a minor over the age of 16, we recommend seeking consent from a parent or legal guardian before accessing and/or using our website or games.

Our games displayed in online stores like Google Play or Apple’s App Store also contain information about age recommendations. Kindly note that these age ratings also depend on the stores’ policies and on local legislature, which is why they may differ from our Terms of Use.

While it covers all the necessary information and provisions, we have decided to clarify certain aspects of data processing, especially in regards to underage individuals.

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data about or direct or target interest-based advertising to anyone under the age of 16, nor do we knowingly allow such persons to use our Services. If any player is under 16, we ask them not to send any data about themselves to us, including their name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under the age of 16 may provide any personal data. If we find out that we have collected personal data about a child under 16, we delete that data immediately. If you believe that we might have any data from or about a child under the age of 16, please contact us via the in-game customer support interface or at help@TopiaBros.com. Our Privacy Policy contains a full list of the personal data that we may collect from you directly (through the game, website, or online forms); and/or from other entities, service providers that assist us in providing you with a service (including data analytics providers, operating systems, and internet services providers), or from your social network accounts that you used to sign in to our online services (Facebook, Google, Game Circle, Weibo, etc.). Kindly note that we only process personal data in order to provide you with our services, fulfill our duties under contractual obligations, and realize our legitimate interests.

REAL NAME AND USERNAME
As part of your registration for our Services, or via log-in or social networks, we may collect certain data, such as your name or nickname and email address.

However, it is not necessary to use your real name as your username within the game, and we strongly recommend not doing so.

Instead, we encourage our players to choose a nickname not directly related to their real-life identities to increase security and privacy. You can also change your username in the in-game settings.

CAN I DELETE PERSONAL DATA?

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to have all of your personal data or your children’s data used in our application and our partners’ services deleted (purchase payments, in-app ad views, etc.). Please keep in mind that should you decide to delete the data, your user account will be deleted and will not be restorable. However, it will be possible to start the game over from Level 1.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Please keep in mind that opting out doesn’t mean that you will stop seeing ads. You may opt in at any time by contacting our support team.

You can also delete data received from third parties/platforms. In this case, you or your children will lose the ability to use the functions provided by the third parties/platforms, but your account will not be deleted.

HOW DOES CHATTING WORK IN TOPIA BROS GAMES?

Our games do not provide in-game chat functionality.

ARE TOPIA BROS GAMES FREE TO PLAY?

While all our games are free to download, they do contain in-app purchases. You can play entirely for free, but making purchases can help you speed up your progress and increase your in-game resources.

You can limit or disable in-game purchases in your device’s settings. The exact process depends on the type of device the game is installed on, be it an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, etc.) or an Android device.

WHO PROCESSES IN-APP PURCHASES AND IS IT POSSIBLE TO RECEIVE A REFUND?

All purchases are processed by the store where you downloaded the game from, so please contact the store’s customer support to request a refund.

If the purchase was made on an iOS device:

Go to the App Store Support page and follow the instuctions.

If the purchase was made on an Android device:

Go to the Google Play Help page, Amazon Appstore Support page, Samsung Galaxy Store Support page or Huawei App Gallery Support page and follow the instructions for your device.

If the purchase was made for the Windows version of the game, sign in to Order History and then select Request a return/refund. If you don’t see Request a return, your item may not be eligible for a return. You can learn more here.

If the purchase was made for the Facebook version of the game, sign in to your Facebook account and use the Help Center menu.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

All in-game purchases are processed by the store where the game was downloaded. As a result, we store zero information about your banking account and your card. However, we do store the information regarding your purchases (such as amount spent, date, time, and vouchers or offers used).

I’VE MADE AN IN-GAME PURCHASE, BUT I HAVEN’T RECEIVED WHAT I PAID FOR. WHAT NOW?

Start by checking your internet connection, as it has to be stable for newly purchased items to be added to the game. If it was lost during or right after the purchase, try restarting your device and check to see if the purchase shows up.

If the purchase still doesn’t appear in the game, contact us by following the instructions in this article. Make sure you provide the following information in your complaint:

1. The exact number of items you purchased (e.g. 5,000 coins, Package “Starter”)

2. The time of your purchase

3. A copy of the receipt or a screenshot of your purchase history. The receipt is emailed to the account used to make the purchase soon after the purchase is completed. You can find more information about your purchase history in the customer support section on the Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, or Huawei websites.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Without a receipt or a screenshot of your purchase history, we won’t be able to help you properly. The receipt must include the date of purchase, the name of the bundle, the price, and the transaction number.

Please note that we do not accept bank statements or SMS alerts about money withdrawals.

I FOUND A WEBSITE THAT SELLS IN-GAME OBJECTS FOR TOPIA BROS GAMES. IS IT LEGIT?

All purchases for in-game items and currencies can only be done within the game.

Any third-party website that offers such purchases may present a danger to your personal data, money, or other items and data.

We also would like to stress that installing and/or using any third-party applications comes with serious consequences:

  • Altered game functionality
  • Unfair advantages
  • Theft of account data, which can then be used by scammers for illegal activity

Be aware that using third-party software constitutes cheating and incurs penalties. Our system automatically detects unauthorized game manipulation, and players can also report any suspicious behavior they notice.

I’M SEEING AN INAPPROPRIATE AD. WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?

In our games, players have the opportunity to receive in-game resources in exchange for watching video ads from our partners.

All the ads are checked for compliance with the age rating applicable to our games (3+).

However, if you come across video content that you think doesn’t correspond to the age rating of the game, you can let us know by contacting us through the game settings and providing a screenshot of the ad. It’s best if the screenshot also shows the name of the application that the ad is promoting.

Our Customer Support specialists will process your request and take all necessary measures to resolve the problem.

HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU?

The fastest and most convenient way to contact us is to do it through the game settings. That way, we’ll have all the technical information we need to resolve any issues quickly. Depending on the nature of the problem, please make sure that your message includes the following: the time the incident occurred, copies of transaction receipts or the purchase history, screenshots showing the problem, etc.

Check their profile picture and their username for excessive personal information or inappropriateness.
  5. Take a look at the in-app purchases options and see if the necessary passwords and confirmations are enabled. Have a conversation with your child about in-app purchases and how they are made with real money.
  6. Make sure your child feels that they can reach out to you any time they encounter technical or other issues or don’t understand something in the game.
  7. Explain the importance of respecting other players and game rules.
